At 3 minutes it was full, and that was how long it took me to paste in my info. Darn.

I started entering it when it opened, but took too much time checking my formatting and it was closed by the time I hit submit.

There would have been a bounce back message if you hadn't made it telling it was full.

I opened it at exactly 8am, but silly me, took the time to reread everything before clicking "submit", one of the last contests I entered, once you opened the form it wasn't timed, but I guess that wasn't the case for this one, clicked submit at 6 after and it was full. ohhh well.. Good luck to those that got through! :)

Sorry to those who didn't make it in. It filled up really fast (about 2 minutes). When you submitted the form, a message popped up telling you it was too late. If you did not get that message, then you're in.

I entered on the dot, but I dithered too much, checking my submission and missed out. Bummer. I'll try next time.

Good luck to those who made it.

I too thought, "wow, it's 2 minutes after, I'm fast." Ha. Not fast enough. congrats to those 100 with much faster fingers.

Guess that semester of speed typing paid off for once. :)

Woo hoo!! I finally made it in. Not to rub it in for anyone who didn't :(((( But I had to Race home from work (sorry other drivers..) and I doubt everything's perfect but Hey -- I'm really looking forward to feedback from a professional, whether it's a page or a sentence.

Thanks for hosting this. You are guys here are awesome.

With a thumping heart, I managed to get my submission in. I'm excited.

Is the critique going to be e-mailed to each participant? Does anyone have an idea of how long it takes (yes, I'm anxious:-) ?

Patrick said...

Fabio, I would assume that she will mail the critiques back to you directly, but it will take a little time to get to them all.

Thanks, Patrick. And thanks for having the contest.
I wish everybody had gotten in - this is a wonderful community.

I copied and pasted everything I had prepped before hand - even my name! Then I did a speed check and hit submit, then obsessed over whether I got everything done right! And I hate that we cant go back and check the form after we submit but its probably better that way anyway. I also had to race home from work and was ready by 10 of to enter. I wish everyone luck who entered, maybe someone will get an agent out of this!

Was anyone able to paste the original manuscript formatting? Line breaks and the double-spacing were messed up in the web form.

Becca said...

kimysworld, I did the same thing. I had everything right there and ready. I was also sitting there, watching the seconds tick by so that I could submit right away.

It's a good thing I didn't have to work last night. I'd have still been there when this contest opened.

Great contest! Thanks for giving us opportunities like this! And sorry to the authors who didn't make that two minute slot, sheesh, that's nuts!
