As any of the regular fiction genres could be used as a Romance sub genre, this week I only focused on sub genres that were either unique to romance or had different rules when applied to romance :)Michelle McLeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08730366330276974943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7454222325290313520.post-22783447873475590532009-05-04T11:52:00.000-04:002009-05-04T11:52:00.000-04:00Great breakdown, but where's paranormal? :-)Great breakdown, but where's paranormal? :-)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7454222325290313520.post-82131051872038588312009-05-04T11:14:00.000-04:002009-05-04T11:14:00.000-04:00LOL computer gremlins...that's much better than us...LOL computer gremlins...that's much better than user error :D Let's go with that ;-)Michelle McLeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08730366330276974943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7454222325290313520.post-90148357656388924102009-05-04T10:44:00.000-04:002009-05-04T10:44:00.000-04:00Thanks, Michelle. I usually save the term Love Story for books that have all the romance but don't have that happy ending (but that is just me; others might disagree). :)Michelle McLeanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08730366330276974943noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7454222325290313520.post-22279682822655886312009-05-04T10:11:00.000-04:002009-05-04T10:11:00.000-04:00I definitely don't write any form of the Romance g...I definitely don't write any form of the Romance genre, but the breakdown is very interesting! While my story is firmly rooted in the Romance category, I never felt totally comfortable. I feel as if so many of today's Romance novels are so fast paced, it is hard for love to keep up. In fact I've sent two queries out, and called my novel, an old fashioned love story. I like Traditional Romance. You may have helped me out a lot here. - Thanks.

Gitty up - DutchDutch Henryhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03573659544816648399noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7454222325290313520.post-66234543827696292942009-05-04T09:36:00.000-04:002009-05-04T09:36:00.000-04:00Ack! Even though I don't write adult romances (YA all the way), I was curious about some of the sub genres, especially since some of them are making their way into YA (with the exception of erotica, of course). But how could you misspell the grandmother of Historical Romances's name wrong? It's Katherine E Woodiwiss. ;) She turned in her grave at that.

Looking forward to your next great post.Stinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11415189347501942340noreply@blogger.com
